As the number of coronavirus cases rises in the United States, the nation’s attention has turned to the daily coronavirus briefings from the White House.
The evening briefing has become must-see TV, a fact not lost on President Donald Trump, who spent much of Sunday tweeting about his high “ratings”. The star attraction is not the president, however, but the double act leading the briefings – top immunologist Dr Anthony Fauci and coronavirus taskforce chief Dr Deborah Birx.

Meanwhile last week, Antonio Hodgers, the head of Geneva’s executive, announced a ban on the erection of further 5G mobile antennas in the canton, according to an interview on RTS.
le News reported “motivated by uncertainty on the potential health effects of the new technology, the temporary freeze is the most the cantonal government can do to stop the rollout of the technology. The governments of both Geneva and Vaud have now put the brakes on 5G rollout in their territories by putting a freeze on permits to erect further 5G antennas.”
Other Swiss cantons are following the developments in Vaud. A similar parliamentary motion has been put forward in Geneva and the parliament of Valais will discuss the issue when it next sits.

First death in Ireland confirmed as coronavirus declared a pandemic: Today's main Covid-19 points

HE FIRST DEATH relating to the coronavirus has been confirmed in Ireland today as the Department of Health announced it has identified a further nine cases in the Republic of Ireland.
The death related to a woman who died in a hospital in the east of the country where she was being treated. 
With the announcement of nine new cases, there is now a total of 43 cases in the Republic of Ireland and a further 18 cases in Northern Ireland. 
In a statement this afternoon, Dr Tony Holohan, Chief Medical Officer at the Department of Health extended his condolences to the family and friends of the patient who passed away.
A short time later, the World Health Organization declared the spread of Covid-19 a pandemic. 
Yesterday, the government took significant action to attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus Covid-19: advising people not to travel to Italy for any reason.
Today, the HSE chief executive Paul Reid tweeted out that “we are entering a new phase in Covid-19″.
“I fully support our hospitals who have to make decisions on restricting visitors based on clinical risk, patient and public safety. Please do as we urge and our ask will increase as we progress,” he said.

Paschal Donohoe also said that Ireland needs an “unprecedented shared national effort” to respond to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Here are the main points:
The first death relating to the coronavirus has been confirmed in Ireland.

Harris also spoke on RTÉ’s Prime Time last night about why public gatherings weren’t being stopped and that places weren’t being put on lockdown.
“It has to be about doing it in the right order”, adding that “there will be a time when measures will be taken, but we’ve got to get the timing right”.
Harris said that the National Public Health Team was considering what to do with public mass gatherings, such as concerts at the 3Arena, on Friday.

Prevention
Covid-19 is spread through droplets caused by sneezing or coughing, or by touching a surface that someone has sneezed or coughed on within a particular time frame. It cannot be passed through your skin, and it’s thought that it’s unlikely to be airborne.

It may take up to 14 days for symptoms to show. 
The best ways to protect yourself and others from the virus are to wash hands properly and often, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue/your sleeve when coughing and sneezing, and put used tissues in a bin and wash your hands. 

Symptoms of Covid-19 include:

The Taoiseach has said global shortages in the supply of materials needed for processing Covid-19 tests will add further delays to the process.
It comes as GPs and others have expressed concerns about existing delays in many people getting tests results back, sometimes up to 10 days or more after the test was conducted.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar echoed the views of others, including Dr Cillian De Gascun, chair of the HSE’s Coronavirus Expert Advisory Group, that testing was being hampered by a global shortage of reagents.
“The current cause of delay is a shortage of reagents. We hope to address that, but then there may be a shortage of something else. We have to be honest about that — we will hit delays,” Mr Varadkar said.

Some 30,213 tests had already been carried out here by Tuesday evening, which compares favourably by international standards, but many are still awaiting results.
“In Ireland, we’ve decided as a country to do a lot of tests. We’re in the top tier of countries in the world when it comes to number of tests we’re doing. That’s the right thing to do in terms of containing the virus. But we are running into difficulties and we need to be honest with people and frank about that.
“There is a global shortage to testing kits, there’s a shortage of reagents, and we also need the laboratory capacity. So we are going to have bumps in the road where there are delays at particular points in time,” the Taoiseach said.
The HSE also apologised to those still waiting for test results.
A spokesperson said: “Testing Centres have been open today, as needed, and have performed in excess of 2,000 tests across the country.
“.. The HSE now has a plentiful supply of swabbing kits and patient volumes being referred for swabbing can easily be processed by existing testing centres…”
The HSE echoed the views of the Taoiseach and others regarding the “challenges in terms of securing supplies of reagent for testing laboratories” and with major suppliers having to ration supplies across the world.
“We are currently exploring the procurement of reagent from international sources,” the HSE spokesperson said. “In addition we continue to bring on additional laboratories, some with different reagents. This week the HSE Public Analyst Laboratory at Cherry Orchard and a Department of Agriculture laboratory have come on-line bringing additional capacity.
“We apologise to all those waiting for test results and we wish to assure the public that we are making every endeavour to improve turnaround times within the current international constraints.
“We continue to prioritise testing of healthcare workers and in patients in acute hospitals and residential facilities. Acknowledging the delay in testing we are beginning direct contact tracing of high-risk groups in advance of test results.”
Efforts have been made to address the shortage in the materials needed for reading tests, but the scale of testing required around the world has far outstripped supply.
Here, Michelle Hynes, Commercial Director of Shannon-based REAGECON said the company had been asked by a number of hospitals whether they could provide it, but that the company does not manufacture the specific type of reagent used in Covid-19 testing.

Coronavirus Northern Ireland updates as bars and restaurants closed

Most children across Northern Ireland have either spent their final days in school already or are doing so today.
The decision to close schools, comes as the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 has risen to 77, with the Department announcing yesterday that an elderly patient had died after testing positive. 
The Health Minister warned on Thursday that a "surge" in the Covid-19 pandemic will be of "biblical proportions".
Robin Swann was speaking as Arlene Foster and Michelle O’Neill addressed the country on latest developments in the fight against Coronavirus.
He said that a worst case scenario could be that as many as 9,000 people die from Covid-19, based on 80% of the population getting it and a 1% mortality rate.
However, he stressed that this figure can be greatly reduced if people follow the public health guidelines that have been issued regarding social distancing and hand washing.

 18 countries have no reported coronavirus cases

Even though the number of reported coronavirus cases around the world passed the one million mark on Thursday afternoon, there are still a small number of nations which have reported no confirmed cases of COVID-19.

According to data collected by John Hopkins University, 18 out of the 193 United Nations-member countries claim to be coronavirus-free.

They are:

Comoros, Kiribati, Lesotho, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, North Korea, Palau, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, the Solomon Islands, South Sudan, Tajikistan, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Yemen.
While some of them are likely to not report any cases — such as hermetically isolated North Korea, as well as war-torn Yemen and South Sudan — others could indeed have been spared of the pandemic which has killed more than 55,000 since the first case was registered on Nov. 17 in Hubei, China. 

They are, for the most part, small remote islands that normally don’t receive many tourists, and where social isolation is just part of people’s everyday lives.

According to data released in September 2018 by the UN’s World Tourism Organization, seven of the world’s 10 least-visited places make up the list of the world’s last coronavirus-free states.
While natural social isolation might have spared some nations of the devastating spread of the fast growing pandemic, however, the fact that they are so isolated is a major concern for some governments.
In one nation drastic measures have been enacted — even before any confirmed infection case.
The president of Nauru, a small island county in Micronesia, northeast of Australia, fears that COVID-19 is already a matter of national emergency, as he told the BBC.

“We’re keeping things at the border,” President Lionel Aingimea said. “We’re using our airport as the border and our transit facilities as part of our border.”
With just over 10,000 people, the UN’s second-smallest country is at least 200 miles far from its closest neighbor, Banaba Island, part of Kiribati, a country in the Pacific Ocean which is also coronavirus-free.
The closest large city with a direct flight to Nauru is Brisbane, Australia, around 2,100 miles to the south.
With a country with only one hospital, no ventilators and a shortage of nurses, Aingimea is not taking any chances.
His “capture and containment” order banned travelers coming from China, South Korea, Italy and Iran since early March. Overall flights have been either reduced or suspended.

People arriving from Australia (mostly returning residents) receive a 14-day quarantine in a hotel, and are checked for symptoms every day.
When some developed fever, they were further isolated and tested for COVID-19. The kits, which were analyzed in Australia, came back negative.
“Every time we look at the [COVID-19] map it looks like the world has got a measles outbreak — there’s red dots all over the place,” Aingimea said.
Some other small Pacific countries — such as Kiribati, Tonga and Vanuatu — have also enacted similar measure, according to the BBC.

South Sudan's zero coronavirus cases from total of 18 tests - govt

 South Sudan, one of five virus-free African countries, says it has carried out 18 tests for the COVID-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic.

A March 31, 2020 statement from the office of the first vice-president confirmed that the country had no case of coronavirus. The same day that Burundi confirmed an index case leaving South Sudan as the only East African country uninfected.“The High Level Taskforce would like to inform the general public that all the 18 samples collected since the outbreak of COVID-19, have tested negative for COVID-19 by Polymerase chain reaction (PCR).” 


The statement went on to caution against the spread of rumors about an infection in the country. “I am urging people to ignore circulating rumours about the outbreak of the deadly virus in the country.
“People should not panic and be scared of the rumours being spread by social and local media,” the statement added. Rwanda has the highest infection rate on mainland East and Horn of Africa region with 75 cases with the lowest being Burundi’s two cases. Mauritius, however, has 175 cases as of March 31.

Previously, some experts had expressed doubts about South Sudan’s prolonged no case citing that the country could have failed to detect cases due to lack of capacity. Across Africa, South Africa has run over 40,000 cases and has recorded over 1,300 cases.
In mid-March this year, South Sudan suspended flights from countries affected by coronavirus, including Egypt and United Arab Emirates. On 25 March, President Salva Kiir issued an order imposing a night-time curfew, as part preventive measures against coronavirus. The measure started on March 26.

Interior Minister Paul Mayom Akec announced the measure stressing that the populace were expected to stay home from 8pm until 6am across South Sudan until further notice.
Akec further said health conditions requiring movements of ambulances, broadcast journalists on duty and network operators on duty would be exempted. “The order is in compliance of the republican order issued by the President for the protection of the citizens of South Sudan from the health risk of COVID-19,” he explained.

Regardless, “The Precautionary Principle” regarding exposure to all cell phone and wireless WiFi technology has been completely ignored for 20+ years.  Outdated legislation has made this possible.

The reality is that there have never been “safety” standards for digital and wireless products – only guidelines.   In fact, no “safe” level of exposure has yet been scientifically determined for children or pregnant women.

Last week The Natural Resources Defense Council and Center of Biological Diversity asked public and organizational comments be submitted to them in order to fight widespread 5G installation as well.
People everywhere are fighting the installation of 4G and 5G towers in their communities.
U.S. broadcast stations have also been reporting about harm caused by exposure to WiFi and other sources of electrical pollution (Electrosmog) as well.
This doesn’t seem to matter to the Federal Communications Commission – particularly Chairman Ajit Pai and Commissioners Michael O’Rielly and Brendan Carr.
5G was also pushed by former FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler (appointed by Obama).  He currently works (again) for The Telecom Industry promoting 5G.
Many U.S. state and federal elected officials are also forcing this risky technology on Americans.

The Navy announced it has relieved the captain who sounded the alarm about an outbreak of COVID-19 aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
Capt. Brett Crozier, who commands the Roosevelt, an aircraft carrier with a crew of nearly 5,000, was relieved of his command Thursday, but he will keep his rank and remain in the Navy.
Crozier raised the alarm this week, sending a strongly worded letter to Navy leadership that detailed his concerns about the spread of the virus on the ship. The letter leaked to the media and generated a series of headlines. 
 Speaking at a news conference Thursday evening, Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly said Crozier was removed from his post because he sent the letter over "non-secure unclassified email" to a "broad array of people" rather than up the chain of command.
"I have no doubt in my mind that Captain Crozier did what he thought was in the best interest of the safety and well-being of his crew," Modly said. "Unfortunately, it did the opposite. It unnecessarily raised the alarm of the families of our sailors and Marines with no plans to address those concerns."

Modly insisted the that decision was his alone. He praised Crozier but said he had concluded that the captain "allowed the complexity of the challenge of the COVID breakout on the ship to overwhelm his ability to act professionally."
"The responsibility for this decision rests with me," Modly added. "I expect no congratulations for it. Captain Crozier is an incredible man."

In a statement, a group of top Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee sharply criticized the decision to remove Crozier.
“The dismissal of Captain Crozier at this critical moment, as the sailors aboard the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt are confronted with the COVID-19 pandemic, is a reckless, political move that reeks of undue command influence," read the statement from chairman Rep. Adam Smith of Washington, subcommittee chairs Rep. Joe Courtney of Connecticut, Rep. John Garamendi of California and Rep. Jackie Speier of California.
Former Vice President Joe Biden also blasted the Navy's acting secretary in a statement, saying that he "shot the messenger — a commanding officer who was faithful to both his national security mission and his duty to care for his sailors, and who rightly focused attention on a broader concern about how to maintain military readiness during this pandemic."
The ship, which was operating in the Pacific, pulled into port in Guam last week several days after multiple crew members tested positive for the virus. By Wednesday, there were 93 positive test results, and more than 1,000 people were taken off the carrier and placed into isolation on Guam. In total, 2,700 people are expected to disembark the ship this week, with a smaller crew remaining to maintain the carrier.

Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly on Monday delivered a scathing attack against the captain who sounded the alarm over the spread of the coronavirus on his ship.
Speaking in Guam to the crew members of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt, Modly said Capt. Brett Crozier was guilty of a “betrayal of trust” in choosing to express his concerns to a broad audience in an email that ultimately was leaked to the media, according to a recording of the speech obtained by NBC News.
“If he didn’t think, in my opinion, that this information wasn’t going to get out into the public, in this day and information age that we live in, then he was either A, too naive or too stupid to be a commanding officer of a ship like this,” Modly said. “The alternative is that he did this on purpose.”
Crozier was relieved of his command last Thursday. In a news conference, Modly defended the decision as his own and insisted it was made because Crozier went outside the chain of command.

But Modly used far more biting language in his speech to the Theodore Roosevelt crew members Monday.

“It was betrayal,” Modly said, according to the recording, which was first obtained by the online publication Task & Purpose. “And I can tell you one other thing: Because he did that, he put it in the public’s forum and it’s now become a big controversy in Washington, D.C., and across the country, about a martyr CO who wasn’t getting the help he needed and therefore had to go through the chain of command, a chain of command which includes the media.”
Modly, in a statement released after a purported transcript of the remarks was reported by several news outlets, said he stood by his words.

"The spoken words were from the heart, and meant for them," Modly said. "I stand by every word I said, even, regrettably any profanity that may have been used for emphasis. Anyone who has served on a Navy ship would understand. I ask, but don't expect, that people read them in their entirety."
But several hours later, Modly reversed course and apologized for his remarks.
"Let me be clear, I do not think Captain Brett Crozier is naïve nor stupid," he said in a statement. "I think, and always believed him to be the opposite."

Modly went on to describe Crozier as "smart and passionate."
"I believe, precisely because he is not naive and stupid, that he sent his alarming email with the intention of getting it into the public domain in an effort to draw public attention to the situation on his ship," Modly said. "I apologize for any confusion this choice of words may have caused. I also want to apologize directly to Captain Crozier, his family, and the entire crew of the Theodore Roosevelt for any pain my remarks may have caused."

Modly's new statement came after President Donald Trump addressed the controversy at a news conference, saying he planned to intervene.
"The letter shouldn't have been sent," Trump said, referring to Crozier. "But all of that said, his career prior to that was very good, so I'm going to get involved and see exactly what's going on there because I don't want to destroy somebody for having a bad day."
Modly had delivered the sharply-worded speech to the Theodore Roosevelt crew members two days after a video appeared on social media showing dozens of them cheering for Crozier in a rousing farewell as he walked off the ship in Guam.
Modly said the governor of the U.S. territory told him that the release of Crozier’s letter caused great alarm among local residents who feared an influx of sailors infected with the virus.

“So think about that when you cheer the man off the ship who exposed you to that,” Modly said. “I understand you love the guy. It’s good that you love him. But you’re not required to love him.”
In justifying his decision to remove Crozier, Modly said the captain lost sight of the ship’s mission and “compromised critical information about your status intentionally to draw greater attention to your situation.”
“This put you at great risk,” Modly said.

Nearly 4,900 crew members were aboard the vessel. According to the latest figures, tests have been performed on 61 percent of the crew.
Some 173 have tested positive for the virus. More than 800 others are in isolation at a base on Guam, many of them still awaiting test results. About 1,150 crew members who tested negative were moved off the ship and placed in hotels. Nearly 2,900 sailors remain on board.

Boris Johnson had a "comfortable night" in St Thomas' Hospital, London, and is in "good spirits", the British Prime Minister's official spokesman has said.
Mr Johnson was taken to hospital last night as a "precautionary step" on the advice of his doctor.
He tested positive for the coronavirus 10 days ago, and had been in self-isolation inside his Downing Street apartment since.
Mr Johnson's official spokesman said he continued to lead the Government and had been working on official papers from his bed.
The British Prime Minister was said to be in "good spirits" after being taken to St Thomas' Hospital in London as a "precaution".
He remains under observation and the spokesman declined to give details of any treatment he had received or when he might be discharged.
"The Prime Minister was admitted to hospital for tests last night as a precaution. The issue is that his symptoms remain persistent," the spokesman said.
He added: "The Prime Minister had a comfortable night at St Thomas' Hospital in London and is in good spirits. He remains in hospital under observation."
In Mr Johnson's absence, the daily government coronavirus meeting was chaired by Dominic Raab, the British Foreign Secretary and First Secretary of State.
However, the PM's spokesman said that he had received his ministerial red box containing his official papers and was continuing to work from hospital.
"He continues to receive a box. The Prime Minister remains in charge of the Government."

In a video message posted to Twitter after his diagnosis was confirmed last week, Mr Johnson said: "I'm working from home and self-isolating and that's entirely the right thing to do.
"But, be in no doubt that I can continue thanks to the wizardry of modern technology to communicate with all my top team to lead the national fightback against coronavirus."

Those are the three symptoms prominently listed on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's website under coronavirus symptoms.
But as case counts continue to rise in the United States and across the world, it's clear that COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, causes a much wider range of symptoms. The more detailed descriptions of the illness that are emerging show how doctors and researchers are still learning about the disease, which was first reported just three months ago, in real time.

COVID-19 can begin in similar ways among patients, regardless of a person's age or health status. 
Very often, extreme fatigue hits first.
Hedy Bauman, 74, was so weak she could barely make it home from a short walk to the store. Reading a few pages of the newspaper was exhausting.
"My bathroom is maybe 15 steps from my bed," Bauman, of Silver Spring, Maryland, told NBC News. "I wasn't sure I could get from the bathroom to my bed." She developed chills, but no fever.
Bauman's doctor said her symptoms were consistent with what physicians are learning about other coronavirus cases, though they are still waiting for the results from Bauman's COVID-19 test.
Brendan McLaughlin, 28, felt lightheaded and weak before the fever, chills and body aches began.
McLaughlin went to the emergency room at Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey, where he works as a security guard, thinking maybe he had the flu.
That test was negative, but a test for the coronavirus was positive. McLaughlin said he'd never felt so sick in his life.
"I'd been healthy," McLaughlin said. "I try to eat right. I take care of myself."

One of the first major reports on coronavirus symptoms was published by the World Health Organization in February, following their mission to China. That report, based on nearly 56,000 cases there, found the most common symptoms were fever (88 percent) and dry cough (68 percent). Nearly 40 percent of those patients experienced fatigue. Shortness of breath, stomach issues and weakness were less common. 

Since that report, other symptoms related to COVID-19 have emerged.
Many patients who've either tested positive for the coronavirus, or have been told by their physicians to assume they have it, also develop a headache and sore throat. Others become sick to their stomach with nausea or diarrhea.
Some patients say they have no interest in eating. Many report they're losing their senses of taste and smell, the British Rhinological Society said recently.
Just this week, a small study published in JAMA Ophthalmology added another potential COVID-19 warning sign: pink eye, also known as conjunctivitis. A third of the 38 patients in the report had the inflammatory eye condition.
But it's also becoming more clear that some infected people spreading the virus don't have any symptoms at all.

Contagious before symptoms
Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the CDC, told NPR this week that as many as a quarter of patients are asymptomatic. And a report published by the CDC Wednesday found evidence that infected people can spread the virus before they develop symptoms, although it seems to be rare.
The phenomenon is called "presymptomatic transmission," which is also a known way that the flu spreads.

The CDC report was based on 243 coronavirus cases in Singapore. Researchers there carefully traced all of individuals that patients had been in contact with before becoming ill.

They ultimately determined 6.4 percent of transmissions in the study were from presymptomatic patients.

Tánaiste Simon Coveney has said that health authorities are still expecting a surge of cases to hit hospitals in the coming days and weeks.

Coronavirus: Raab 'confident' prime minister will recover from illness

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has said he is "confident" Boris Johnson will recover from coronavirus, describing the prime minister as a "fighter".
Speaking at the daily coronavirus briefing, Mr Raab said Mr Johnson remained in "good spirits" and was breathing without assistance.
He also described the PM as not only a colleague - but "also a friend".
Later in the evening, No 10 said the PM remained in critical care but his condition was "stable".
It is understood there will be no further update on Mr Johnson's condition until Wednesday.

'Total unity'
Speaking at the daily coronavirus briefing, Mr Raab, who is deputising for the PM, said Mr Johnson was not only a boss but "also a friend".
"All of our thoughts and prayers are with the prime minister at this time, with Carrie, and with his whole family.
"And I'm confident he'll pull through because if there's one thing I know about this prime minister, he's a fighter. And he'll be back at the helm, leading us through this crisis in short order."It comes as the number of coronavirus hospital deaths in the UK rose to 6,159 - a record increase of 786 in a day, the Department of Health and Social Care said, compared with 439 on Monday. 

Mr Johnson was admitted to St Thomas' Hospital in central London with "persistent symptoms" of Covid-19 on Sunday and was moved to intensive care on Monday evening after his symptoms worsened.
Mr Raab said the prime minister was receiving standard oxygen treatment and breathing without any assistance, such as mechanical ventilation or non-invasive respiratory support.
Amid questions about what his role will entail, the foreign secretary said he was standing in for the prime minister "whenever necessary", including leading the daily meetings of the coronavirus "war cabinet".

Mr Raab, who chaired the government's daily coronavirus meeting on Tuesday, said he had "total confidence" in the arrangements Mr Johnson had put in place.
"Well first of all, decision making by government is made by collective cabinet responsibilities, so that is the same as before," the foreign secretary said.
"But we've got very clear directions, very clear instructions from the prime minister, and we're focused with total unity and total resolve on implementing them so that when he's back, I hope in very short order, we will have made the progress that he would expect and that the country would expect."
Earlier, Buckingham Palace said the Queen had sent a message to Mr Johnson's family and his partner, Carrie Symonds, saying she was thinking of them, and wished the PM a full and speedy recovery.

There was a show of support for Boris Johnson from Dominic Raab on behalf of his cabinet colleagues. The PM, he said, was not only their boss but "also our friend".
Some bullish language about Mr Johnson being a "fighter" who would be back "in short order" was clearly an attempt to keep spirits up at a difficult time.
Although Mr Raab has been asked to deputise for the PM while he is in intensive care, we learned very little about exactly how much authority he has.
In response to questions about whether his role allowed him to take decisions, he said there was "total unity" in government and referred to the system of collective responsibility.

That, simply put, is the principle that all senior ministers agree to support a policy once it's agreed.
It seems Downing Street and Dominic Raab himself are keen to show that he is simply carrying out the prime minister's orders until Boris Johnson returns.
The hope is, of course, that he is able to do that as soon as possible. But with every day that goes by decisions will need to be made and someone will have to make them.
As of 09:00 on Tuesday, 213,181 people have been tested, of which 55,242 tested positive, the Department of Health and Social Care said.
Overall, 266,694 tests have been concluded, with 14,006 tests carried out on Monday.
The daily figure for the number of people tested on Monday excludes data from Manchester and Leeds because of a "data processing delay", while the overall tests figure excludes Northern Ireland, the Department of Health added.

Elsewhere, it was revealed that Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove had become the latest politician to self-isolate.
Mr Gove said he did not have symptoms but a family member did. He is continuing to work at home.

He is the latest cabinet minister to self-isolate, after Mr Johnson, Health Secretary Matt Hancock and Scottish Secretary Alister Jack.
The government's chief medical adviser, Prof Chris Whitty, and the PM's adviser, Dominic Cummings, also spent time self-isolating after showing symptoms.
Mr Johnson's condition means his fiancee, Ms Symonds, who is pregnant with their first child, is unable to visit him in hospital.
She said at the weekend that she is "on the mend" after herself being forced to self-isolate after displaying symptoms of the disease.
Following news that he was being treated in hospital, world leaders and fellow politicians sent messages to Mr Johnson wishing him well.

The head of the World Health Organization has voiced deep concern over the “rapid escalation” and global spread of the new coronavirus pandemic, as the United States nears a grim milestone of 5,000 deaths.
“Over the past five weeks, we have witnessed a near exponential growth in the number of new cases, reaching almost every country, territory and area,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesuss told a virtual news conference at the organisation's Geneva headquarters on Wednesday.
“The number of deaths has more than doubled in the past week. In the next few days we will reach 1 million confirmed cases, and 50,000 deaths,” he added.
The stark warning comes as the United States barrels towards marking 5,000 coronavirus-related deaths, with more than 4,800 already recorded across the country as of early Thursday morning. On Wednesday, the death toll in New York state jumped 25 percent in just 24 hours to nearly 2,000 dead, according to NBC News’ tally.

Having first emerged in China in December, four months later it is the United States that has registered by far the highest number of coronavirus cases, more than 210,000 as of Thursday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The total number of people infected worldwide has now surpassed 940,000 and the number of coronavirus related deaths recorded has breached 47,500, according to Johns Hopkins.
However, the numbers are believed to be much higher due to limited numbers of tests in many countries, differences in counting the dead and a large number of mild cases believed to have gone unreported.
While the United States has recorded the highest number of cases, Italy has outstripped other nations when it comes to coronavirus-related deaths, with more than 13,000 according to Italian authorities.
On Wednesday evening, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte signed a decree extending Italy’s lockdown measures until April 13. The current lockdown was due to elapse on April 3.
Conte said he was sorry that the lockdown would include Easter celebrations but that the country could not “lower our guard, now that we are seeing the first results of the restrictive measures.”
His comments came after the president of Italy's National Institute of Health told reporters that his country's coronavirus curve had reached the stage before the contagion begins to decline.
On Thursday Spain confirmed it had passed the 10,000 death mark. But despite its high death toll, experts there say they have witnessed some positive developments in recent days.
Fernando Simón, head of the country's emergency coordination center, said Wednesday that he believes Spain has reached its own peak.

“All data indicate we’re going in the right direction. But we must maintain the measures implemented to further reduce risk of infection,” he told reporters via Skype.
The number of coronavirus patients in intensive care units in Madrid also decreased for the first time on Wednesday.
However, only time will tell whether these positive assessments last.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced Thursday that he would be in isolation until next Wednesday after Israel’s health minister tested positive for the coronavirus.
The decision was made following the recommendation of his personal physician and the instructions of the ministry of health, his office added.

WASHINGTON – Louisiana is poised to become the next epicenter of the coronavirus crisis, White House officials said Thursday, citing new data that shows that 26 percent of the tests for COVID-19 in that state in recent days have come back positive. That is the second-highest rate of infection in the United States, behind New York and New Jersey, where 35 percent of coronavirus tests have been positive.
The New York area remains a “very clear and important hot zone,” Dr. Deborah Birx said at Thursday’s briefing of the White House coronavirus task force as she revealed testing statistics on specific states.
“What we’re seeing finally is testing improving,” said Birx, a renowned veteran of the HIV/AIDS fight who is now serving as the response coordinator for the coronavirus task force. She added that the increased testing capacity has allowed states with a low number of confirmed cases to conduct “surveillance and containment” of sickened individuals.
But Birx also sounded a warning about states where more than 10 percent of those tested for COVID-19 are still being diagnosed with the disease. 
“Michigan, Connecticut, Indiana, Georgia, Illinois, so that should tell you where the next hot spots are coming, are at 15 percent of their tests positive, and then Colorado, D.C., Rhode Island and Massachusetts are at 13 percent,” she said. 
According to the COVID Tracking Project, which aggregates publicly available data from all 50 states, 1,267,658 COVID-19 tests had been conducted in the United States as of Thursday afternoon (that does not mean that 1,267,658 have been tested, as most sickened people need to be tested several times). 
That statistic represents a drastic escalation of testing across the nation in the last several days, giving epidemiologists the clarity they have desperately needed in the fight against the coronavirus, which has killed nearly 6,000 Americans.
Still, Birx conceded Thursday that her findings about the overall number of cases of COVID-19 remain incomplete. 

“I’m still missing 50 percent of the data,” she said. 

The Democratic governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer, feuded with President Trump last week, accusing him of not doing enough to help her state, where a coronavirus cluster has erupted in Detroit. 
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, meanwhile, admitted on Wednesday that he had only recently learned that people who weren’t showing symptoms could transmit the coronavirus. That led to questions about what had guided him in his decision making up to that point.
Encouragingly, Birx said that California and Washington state, which saw the first outbreaks of the coronavirus in the U.S., “remain steady at an 8 percent rate” of new positive test results. That suggests that lockdown measures instituted by Govs. Gavin Newsom and Jay Inslee, respectively, had their intended effect.
But Birx cautioned that the country was still in danger and that the new potential hot spots showed that social distancing guidelines remained the best defense against the virus. 
“We have to change the logarithmic curve that we’re on. We see country after country having done that,” Birx said. “What it means in the United States is that not everyone is doing [social distancing],” she said, adding, “I can tell by the curve and as it is today that not every American is following it.”

Fewer cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the country than predicted but the Deputy Chief Medical Officer has warned there is no room for complacency.
Fourteen more people diagnosed with Covid-19 have died in the Republic bringing the death toll to 85.
A further 212 cases of the virus have also been confirmed today bringing the total to 3,447.
Ten of the deaths happened in the east of the country and four in the south.
The patients included seven females and seven males, while eight patients were reported as having underlying health conditions.

“Whether there is two or three hundred cases or more, we are always conscious that every case is a person. 212 is better than three hundred or four hundred and is better than where we thought we would be.”

The latest restrictions in operation since Friday, March 27 mandate that everyone should stay at home, only leaving to:
Shop for essential food and household goods;
Attend medical appointments, collect medicine or other health products;
Care for children, older people or other vulnerable people - this excludes social family visits;
Exercise outdoors - within 2kms of your home and only with members of your own household, keeping 2 metres distance between you and other people
Travel to work if you provide an essential service - be sure to practice social distancing

“There are a number of positive indicators that we as a country can take heart from in terms of the total number of cases today compared to what was predicted a few weeks ago and terms of what we know from the population survey and adherence to the new measures and people’s willingness to comply.”
We are hopeful that as a whole we are going in the right direction.
“The number of cases day on day has decreased significantly in percentage terms versus a couple of weeks ago.
“Again, I think it is too early to draw any firm conclusion and it is too early to become complacent in relation to any of this.
“I don’t think anything has changed the magnitude of this or the necessity of us as a population to treat this as seriously as we can.”
Prof. Glynn said the health service is not carrying out as many tests for Covid-19 as it would have planned.
“At present, we are not carrying out as many tests as we would like to be or as we had intended to carry out.
“If we were carrying out more tests we would obviously would be picking up more people.”
“Equally that does not mean the picture in terms of hospitalisations or intensive care would be any different.”
“As we ramp up testing as we intend to do over a very short timeframe, 
i.e the next 10 days to two weeks, we will get a picture of the burden of this disease on the population as a whole.

There have only been two occasions during his 82 years when Tom Gunn experienced genuine fear.
The first was during the Siege of Jadotville when, as a 23-year-old soldier in the strife-torn Congo, he spent five days under fire.
The second, more recent and closer to home, was when he tested positive for Covid-19. "That was when my entire life flashed before me," Tom told the Irish Independent.

TAOISEACH Leo Varadkar has said that ensuring people over 70 "see many more birthdays in the years ahead" is worth continued sacrifice in terms of restrictions in the coming weeks.
Restrictions on non-essential movement outside the home as well as 'cocooning' for older people were imposed until next Sunday, April 12 due to the coronavirus crisis.
But the Taoiseach's remarks are a further indication that they will be in place beyond that date.

Mr Varadkar also said that childcare supports for healthcare and other frontline workers is almost ready to go and that the prospect of travel restrictions into Ireland is "still being worked on".
He said the government will act on the advice of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) in terms of whether or not restrictions will continue or be modified and he wouldn't speculate on how long they will last for.
Mr Varadkar said his own parents are among the over-70s that are continuing to cocoon and he knows it's "frustrating to be stuck indoors" and not be able to hug grandchildren or go to the shops for themselves.
"But it is working and it is saving lives and we are starting to see the number of new infections and new cases level off," he said.
"Ultimately this is about making sure that those people in their 70s and 80s and 90s - our parents and grandparents - get to see many more birthdays in the years ahead.
"And I think it's worth that sacrifice for the next few weeks."
On childcare for frontline workers, Mr Varadkar said it was taking much longer than the government would like to put it in place and he understands people's frustration.
He said public health is the over-riding concern.
"While we're ready to push the button in terms of providing child care to essential workers we need clearance from the public health team that it in itself mightn’t become a public health risk or mightn’t cause the virus to be spread."

Mr Varadkar added: "It's certainly not an issue of money - that's there. It's not an issue of staff available - they've said they'll do it.
"It is now an issue of public health clearance and we haven't quite got that yet."
Separately Mr Varadkar said inbound travel to Ireland has dropped 95pc on last month. He said the question is how to minimise the risk from the remaining 5pc of travel that is happening - mostly Irish citizens returning home.
He said such people must observe a 14-day quarantine so that they and their contacts can be traced.
Asked how it can be ensured that people comply with this he said "by checking on people".
He said the vast majority of Irish people have been abiding by the regulations that have been put in place whether it's self-isolating for 14 days or obeying the rules around social distancing.
Mr Varadkar added: "I'm sort of glad as a country that we've been able to do that by consent.
"We have regulations on the table ready to sign if we need to bring in the kind of enforcement powers that exist in other countries, but I don't want to be in a position whereby we're criminalising people for going two kilometres away from their home without an adequate excuse."
"The last thing I want is people to come after this emergency with fines and prison sentences and criminal convictions," he said, which has happened elsewhere.
He said: "So while we can bring in tougher laws and they are ready to be signed if we need to, I don't want do that just yet, and certainly not unless the Garda Commissioner really feels it's absolutely necessary".

The coronavirus death toll in Ireland has risen to 174, with 16 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the National Public Health emergency team has said.
This includes six women and 10 men - 11 deaths are located in the east, four in the north west, one in the west of the country.
Four patients were reported as having underlying health conditions
The median age of today’s reported deaths is 78 and the median age of the deaths so far in Ireland is 81.
There have also been 370 new cases confirmed in Ireland.
Research conducted on behalf of the Department of Health, a nationally representative online survey of 1,270 adults conducted today, and which will be conducted twice weekly, revealed:
· The percentage of people stockpiling has reduced from a peak of 43pc in mid-March to 20pc today
· 86pc of people believe that current government restrictions are “about right”
· 67pc are interacting with family and friends over the phone
· Median age of confirmed cases is 49 years
· 1,265 cases (26pc) have been hospitalised
· Of those hospitalised, 169 cases have been admitted to ICU
· 1,263 cases (26pc) are associated with healthcare workers
· Dublin has the highest number of cases at 2,692 (55pc of all cases) followed by Cork with 362 cases (7pc)
· Of those for whom transmission status is known: community transmission accounts for 65pc, close contact accounts for 23pc, travel abroad accounts for 12pc#

It make logical sense that the highest number of cononavirus cases in Ireland are in Dublin, because Dublin has the highest number of 5G Towers in Ireland and the strongest 5G Network in Ire;and. Experts and industry insiders are stating  are claiming that it is the high levels of radiation coming from the 5G Network towers and satellites circling the earth in the Van Allen Belt.
The Swiss have stopped further roll out of G5 towers causing “covert 19” health issues to the public.

Scientists at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) have created a harmless, genetically-modified virus that’s piezoelectric — in other words, it generates electricity when pressure is applied. This virus might eventually find its way into piezoelectric generators in the sole of your shoe, which would generate electricity (for your smartphone) while you walk.

The concept of piezoelectric energy harvesting is hardly new, but according to Berkeley Lab the materials used to make piezoelectric devices are toxic, and are thus no good for internal use or for consumer-facing applications (such as the aforementioned shoe-sole power generator). The The M13 bacteriophage (literally “bacteria devourer”) virus, however, is: piezoelectric, harmless to humans, easy to genetically modify, and readily aligns itself into an orderly film — and, being a virus, it readily replicates itself millions of times, so you don’t need to worry about running out of juice at an inopportune moment.

To turn the M13 phage into into a power source, the scientists genetically engineered the virus to create a higher voltage, stacked 20 layers of the virus on top of a gold substrate, attached some wires, and voila: a piezoelectric generator that produces no less than six nanoamperes at 400 millivolts. This might not sound like a lot (OK 6 nA isn’t a lot), but in the video below you can see that it’s enough to power a simple LCD display — or, alternatively, a low-power sensor.

Ultimately, the most exciting aspect about piezoelectricity is that it can be generated from almost any “wasted” movement — this could be as obvious as swinging your legs and feet, but piezoelectric generators could also harvest power from dance floors, the office stairs, or the vibrations from heavy machinery.

It’s also worth bearing in mind that a self-assembling piezoelectric generator is rather desirable — especially in today’s world, where mass production of genetically modified viruses is a lot easier than rearranging individual atoms with a scanning tunneling microscope. Byung Yang Lee, one of the scientists behind the discovery, says, “We’re now working on ways to improve on this proof-of-principle demonstration… piezoelectric materials based on viruses could offer a simple route to novel microelectronics in the future.”

The prime minister has spent a second night in intensive care with coronavirus. According to the latest update on Tuesday evening, he was "stable" and "in good spirits", but being closely monitored. Here we show you what goes on inside an intensive care unit, and hear from one survivor what a bad case of the disease can feel like.
Downing Street has confirmed that given Boris Johnson's illness, the review into the UK's coronavirus restrictions planned for next Monday will now take place at a later date. The curbs on personal freedom, the economy and more were initially imposed for three weeks. The government's chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, said on Tuesday the UK "could be moving in the right direction", but it would be another "week or so" before he could be sure.
Meanwhile, the first patients have been admitted to the new Nightingale Hospital in east London - although an NHS spokesperson stressed limits had not been reached at other sites in London. See how the 4,000-bed facility was built in just nine days. The NHS is also setting up a hotline to offer psychological support and other advice to healthcare staff. And cat owners are being told to keep their pets indoors during the pandemic.

The number of coronavirus hospital deaths in the UK rose to 6,159 on Tuesday, but a reminder for you of why we need to be cautious with those day-to-day numbers.

Around the world
The Chinese city of Wuhan - where coronavirus first emerged - has finally been released from lockdown. Train, road and rail connections have been re-established, and limits on economic activity and individual movement have been eased. Ordinary residents of Wuhan have been offering advice to others now going through what they have endured.

But China's claims of success in the fight against coronavirus have raised eyebrows - here's why.
In the US, Tuesday brought the highest daily death toll so far, with a jump of 1,736. The nation's total now stands at more than 12,000. The family of singer-songwriter John Prine - known for songs such as Angel from Montgomery and Sam Stone - has confirmed his death from the disease. New York remains the epicentre of the US outbreak, but the state's governor says it appears to be nearing the peak. Twitter founder Jack Dorsey has pledged $1bn to help deal with the pandemic.

Elsewhere in the world, EU member states are arguing over how to tackle the economic fallout - southern nations like Italy and Spain think those further north, especially Germany and the Netherlands, are not doing enough. Note of caution from Wuhan
It's worth remembering that amid the fireworks and celebrations in Wuhan last night, there are still many thousands, if not millions, of people who won't be leaving their homes for quite a while.
Li Kuang lives in a neighbourhood that has not been declared "epidemic-free", and the school he teaches in remains closed.
He told BBC World News: "Things are getting better in Wuhan, but the lifting of the lockdown is mainly for people travelling out of the city or whose place of work has managed to reopen. I have been at home since 23 January and I expect to remain at home for quite a few more weeks."
"People are still quite scared here. Even if I could, I wouldn't leave the house right now. We know there are still thousands of cases of Covid-19 being treated in the city, so even though the lifting is good, it might be a little too early."

UK could relax controls on some drugs during pandemic
Pharacies in the UK could be allowed to hand out controlled drugs - including the heroin substitute methadone - to people without a prescription during the pandemic, under new rules prompted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The government's drug advisory body was asked to urgently review potential emergency measures to help the supply of medicines containing such substances last week.
In its response, published earlier, the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) said it was "generally supportive" of such a move in situations where there is a risk to supplies of repeat prescriptions.
But it calls for extra "support and guidance" for pharmacists because "they will be working outside of the scope of their usual practice in exceptional circumstances".
No final decision over the proposals has been announced by the Home Office.

Borris JOHNSON UK Prime Minister WAS 'STRUGGLING TO BREATHE'

Boris Johnson began struggling to breathe and needed oxygen before being transferred to intensive care, it is understood.
Doctors watching the British Prime Minister closely in hospital became alarmed at his deterioration.
Mr Johnson was admitted to ICU at around 7pm this evening.
He is not yet on a ventilator and is still conscious – but could be placed on one if needed.
Doctors are understood to be preparing a ventilation unit to be ready by his bedside should he worsen overnight.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms worsened today, Downing Street has confirmed.
The Conservative Party leader was transferred to ICU this evening having been hospitalised at St Thomas in London last night.
He is not yet on a ventilator, Downing Street said tonight, and is still conscious.
Mr Johnson's condition got worse over the course of the afternoon and doctors made the decision to move him into intensive care.

A Van Allen radiation belt is a zone of energetic charged particles, most of which originate from the solar wind, that are captured by and held around a planet by that planet's magnetic field. Earth has two such belts and sometimes others may be temporarily created.

The discovery of the belts is credited to James Van Allen, and as a result, Earth's belts are known as the Van Allen belts. Earth's two main belts extend from an altitude of about 640 to 58,000 km (400 to 36,040 mi)[1] above the surface in which region radiation levels vary. Most of the particles that form the belts are thought to come from solar wind and other particles by cosmic rays.[2] By trapping the solar wind, the magnetic field deflects those energetic particles and protects the atmosphere from destruction.

The belts are located in the inner region of Earth's magnetosphere. The belts trap energetic electrons and protons. Other nuclei, such as alpha particles, are less prevalent. The belts endanger satellites, which must have their sensitive components protected with adequate shielding if they spend significant time near that zone. In 2013, NASA reported that the Van Allen Probes had discovered a transient, third radiation belt, which was observed for four weeks until it was destroyed by a powerful, interplanetary shock wave from the Sun.[3]

Kristian Birkeland, Carl Størmer, and Nicholas Christofilos had investigated the possibility of trapped charged particles before the Space Age.[4] Explorer 1 and Explorer 3 confirmed the existence of the belt in early 1958 under James Van Allen at the University of Iowa. The trapped radiation was first mapped by Explorer 4, Pioneer 3 and Luna 1.

The term Van Allen belts refers specifically to the radiation belts surrounding Earth; however, similar radiation belts have been discovered around other planets. The Sun does not support long-term radiation belts, as it lacks a stable, global, dipole field. The Earth's atmosphere limits the belts' particles to regions above 200–1,000 km,[5] (124–620 miles) while the belts do not extend past 8 Earth radii RE.[5] The belts are confined to a volume which extends about 65°[5] on either side of the celestial equator.

Research
The NASA Van Allen Probes mission aims at understanding (to the point of predictability) how populations of relativistic electrons and ions in space form or change in response to changes in solar activity and the solar wind. NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts–funded studies have proposed magnetic scoops to collect antimatter that naturally occurs in the Van Allen belts of Earth, although only about 10 micrograms of antiprotons are estimated to exist in the entire belt.[6]
The Van Allen Probes mission successfully launched on August 30, 2012.[7] The primary mission is scheduled to last two years with expendables expected to last four. NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center manages the Living With a Star program of which the Van Allen Probes is a project, along with Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). The Applied Physics Laboratory is responsible for the implementation and instrument management for the Van Allen Probes.[8]
Radiation belts exist around other planets and moons in the solar system that have magnetic fields powerful enough to sustain them. To date, most of these radiation belts have been poorly mapped. The Voyager Program (namely Voyager 2) only nominally confirmed the existence of similar belts around Uranus and Neptune.

The inner Van Allen Belt  
The inner Van Allen Belt extends typically from an altitude of 0.2 to 2 Earth radii (L values of 1 to 3) or 1,000 km (620 mi) to 12,000 km (7,500 mi) above the Earth.[2][9] In certain cases when solar activity is stronger or in geographical areas such as the South Atlantic Anomaly, the inner boundary may decline to roughly 200 kilometers[10] above the Earth's surface. The inner belt contains high concentrations of electrons in the range of hundreds of keV and energetic protons with energies exceeding 100 MeV, trapped by the strong (relative to the outer belts) magnetic fields in the region.[11]
It is believed that proton energies exceeding 50 MeV in the lower belts at lower altitudes are the result of the beta decay of neutrons created by cosmic ray collisions with nuclei of the upper atmosphere. The source of lower energy protons is believed to be proton diffusion due to changes in the magnetic field during geomagnetic storms.[12]
Due to the slight offset of the belts from Earth's geometric center, the inner Van Allen belt makes its closest approach to the surface at the South Atlantic Anomaly.[13] [14]
On March 2014, a pattern resembling "zebra stripes" was observed in the radiation belts by the Radiation Belt Storm Probes Ion Composition Experiment (RBSPICE) onboard Van Allen Probes. The initial theory proposed in 2014 was that due to the tilt in Earth's magnetic field axis, the planet's rotation generated an oscillating, weak electric field that permeates through the entire inner radiation belt.[15] A 2016 study instead concluded that the zebra stripes were an imprint of ionospheric winds on radiation belts.[16]

 The outer Van Allen Belt  
The outer belt consists mainly of high energy (0.1–10 MeV) electrons trapped by the Earth's magnetosphere. It is more variable than the inner belt as it is more easily influenced by solar activity. It is almost toroidal in shape, beginning at an altitude of three and extending to ten Earth radii (RE), 13,000 to 60,000 kilometres (8,100 to 37,300 mi) above the Earth's surface. Its greatest intensity is usually around 4–5 RE. The outer electron radiation belt is mostly produced by the inward radial diffusion[17][18] and local acceleration[19] due to transfer of energy from whistler-mode plasma waves to radiation belt electrons. Radiation belt electrons are also constantly removed by collisions with Earth's atmosphere,[19] losses to the magnetopause, and their outward radial diffusion. The gyroradii of energetic protons would be large enough to bring them into contact with the Earth's atmosphere. Within this belt, the electrons have a high flux and at the outer edge (close to the magnetopause), where geomagnetic field lines open into the geomagnetic "tail", the flux of energetic electrons can drop to the low interplanetary levels within about 100 km (62 mi), a decrease by a factor of 1,000.
In 2014 it was discovered that the inner edge of the outer belt is characterized by a very sharp transition, below which highly relativistic electrons (> 5MeV) cannot penetrate.[20] The reason for this shield-like behavior is not well understood.
The trapped particle population of the outer belt is varied, containing electrons and various ions. Most of the ions are in the form of energetic protons, but a certain percentage are alpha particles and O+ oxygen ions, similar to those in the ionosphere but are much more energetic. This mixture of ions suggests that ring current particles probably come from more than one source.
The outer belt is larger than the inner belt and its particle population fluctuates widely. Energetic (radiation) particle fluxes can increase and decrease dramatically in response to geomagnetic storms, which are themselves triggered by magnetic field and plasma disturbances produced by the Sun. The increases are due to storm-related injections and acceleration of particles from the tail of the magnetosphere.

On February 28, 2013, a third radiation belt, consisting of high-energy ultrarelativistic charged particles, was reported to be discovered. In a news conference by NASA's Van Allen Probe team, it was stated that this third belt is a product of coronal mass ejection from the Sun. It has been represented as a separate creation which splits the Outer Belt, like a knife, on its outer side, and exists separately as a storage container of particles for a month's time, before merging once again with the Outer Belt.[21]
The unusual stability of this third, transient belt has been explained as due to a 'trapping' by the Earth's magnetic field of ultrarelativistic particles as they are lost from the second, traditional outer belt. While the outer zone, which forms and disappears over a day, is highly variable due to interactions with the atmosphere, the ultrarelativistic particles of the third belt are thought to not scatter into the atmosphere, as they are too energetic to interact with atmospheric waves at low latitudes.[22] This absence of scattering and the trapping allows them to persist for a long time, finally only being destroyed by an unusual event, such as the shock wave from the Sun.

Flux values
In the belts, at a given point, the flux of particles of a given energy decreases sharply with energy.
At the magnetic equator, electrons of energies exceeding 5000 keV (resp. 5 MeV) have omnidirectional fluxes ranging from 1.2×106 (resp. 3.7×104) up to 9.4×109 (resp. 2×107) particles per square centimeter per second.
The proton belts contain protons with kinetic energies ranging from about 100 keV, which can penetrate 0.6 µm of lead, to over 400 MeV, which can penetrate 143 mm of lead.[23]

Most published flux values for the inner and outer belts may not show the maximum probable flux densities that are possible in the belts. There is a reason for this discrepancy: the flux density and the location of the peak flux is variable, depending primarily on solar activity, and the number of spacecraft with instruments observing the belt in real time has been limited. The Earth has not experienced a solar storm of Carrington event intensity and duration, while spacecraft with the proper instruments have been available to observe the event.
Radiation levels in the belts would be dangerous to humans if they were exposed for an extended period of time. The Apollo missions minimised hazards for astronauts by sending spacecraft at high speeds through the thinner areas of the upper belts, bypassing inner belts completely, except for the Apollo 14 mission where the spacecraft traveled through the heart of the trapped radiation belts.[13][24][25][26]

Antimatter confinement
In 2011, a study confirmed earlier speculation that the Van Allen belt could confine antiparticles. The Payload for Antimatter Matter Exploration and Light-nuclei Astrophysics (PAMELA) experiment detected levels of antiprotons orders of magnitude higher than are expected from normal particle decays while passing through the South Atlantic Anomaly. This suggests the Van Allen belts confine a significant flux of antiprotons produced by the interaction of the Earth's upper atmosphere with cosmic rays.[27] The energy of the antiprotons has been measured in the range from 60–750 MeV.
Research funded by the NASA Institute for Advanced Concepts concluded that harnessing these antiprotons for spacecraft propulsion would be feasible. Researchers believed that this approach would have advantages over antiproton generation at CERN, because collecting the particles in situ eliminates transportation losses and costs. Jupiter and Saturn are also possible sources, but the Earth belt is the most productive. Jupiter is less productive than might be expected due to magnetic shielding from cosmic rays of much of its atmosphere. In 2019 CMS announced, that the construction of a device that would be capable of collecting these particles has already begun[dubious – discuss]. NASA will use this device to collect these particles and transport them to institutes all around the world for further examination. These so-called "antimatter-containers" could be used for industrial purpose as well in the future.[28]

Implications for space travel
Spacecraft travelling beyond low Earth orbit enter the zone of radiation of the Van Allen belts. Beyond the belts, they face additional hazards from cosmic rays and solar particle events. A region between the inner and outer Van Allen belts lies at two to four Earth radii and is sometimes referred to as the "safe zone".[29][30]
Solar cells, integrated circuits, and sensors can be damaged by radiation. Geomagnetic storms occasionally damage electronic components on spacecraft. Miniaturization and digitization of electronics and logic circuits have made satellites more vulnerable to radiation, as the total electric charge in these circuits is now small enough so as to be comparable with the charge of incoming ions. Electronics on satellites must be hardened against radiation to operate reliably. The Hubble Space Telescope, among other satellites, often has its sensors turned off when passing through regions of intense radiation.[31] A satellite shielded by 3 mm of aluminium in an elliptic orbit (200 by 20,000 miles (320 by 32,190 km)) passing the radiation belts will receive about 2,500 rem (25 Sv) per year (for comparison, a full-body dose of 5 Sv is deadly). Almost all radiation will be received while passing the inner belt.[32]
The Apollo missions marked the first event where humans traveled through the Van Allen belts, which was one of several radiation hazards known by mission planners.[33] The astronauts had low exposure in the Van Allen belts due to the short period of time spent flying through them. Apollo flight trajectories bypassed the inner belts completely, passing through the thinner areas of the outer belts.[25][34]

Astronauts' overall exposure was actually dominated by solar particles once outside Earth's magnetic field. The total radiation received by the astronauts varied from mission to mission but was measured to be between 0.16 and 1.14 rads (1.6 and 11.4 mGy), much less than the standard of 5 rem (50 mSv)[c] per year set by the United States Atomic Energy Commission for people who work with radioactivity.[33]

Causes
It is generally understood that the inner and outer Van Allen belts result from different processes. The inner belt, consisting mainly of energetic protons, is the product of the decay of so-called "albedo" neutrons which are themselves the result of cosmic ray collisions in the upper atmosphere. The outer belt consists mainly of electrons. They are injected from the geomagnetic tail following geomagnetic storms, and are subsequently energized through wave-particle interactions.
In the inner belt, particles that originate from the Sun are trapped in the Earth's magnetic field. Particles spiral along the magnetic lines of flux as they move "longitudinally" along those lines. As particles move toward the poles, the magnetic field line density increases and their "longitudinal" velocity is slowed and can be reversed, reflecting the particle and causing them to bounce back and forth between the Earth's poles.[35] In addition to the spiral about and motion along the flux lines, the electrons move slowly in an eastward direction, while the ions move westward.

A gap between the inner and outer Van Allen belts, sometimes called safe zone or safe slot, is caused by the Very Low Frequency (VLF) waves which scatter particles in pitch angle which results in the gain of particles to the atmosphere. Solar outbursts can pump particles into the gap but they drain again in a matter of days. The radio waves were originally thought to be generated by turbulence in the radiation belts, but recent work by James L. Green of the Goddard Space Flight Center comparing maps of lightning activity collected by the Microlab 1 spacecraft with data on radio waves in the radiation-belt gap from the IMAGE spacecraft suggests that they are actually generated by lightning within Earth's atmosphere. The radio waves that generate strike the ionosphere at the correct angle to pass through only at high latitudes, where the lower ends of the gap approach the upper atmosphere. These results are still under scientific debate.

With download speeds up to 20 to 30X faster than 4G, 5G promises a new world, including becoming the foundation for self-driving cars while also causing a long list of potential health risks. “5G Cancer” may actually be a thing. The cities of Brussels and Geneva have even blocked trials and banned upgrades to 5G out of this concern.
The difference between 4G and 5G in terms of gigahertz, the unit of alternating current (AC) or electromagnetic (EM) waves that affect the transmission speeds of devices, is significant. 5G technology promises radio millimeter bands in the 30 to 300 GHz range, while 4G tops out at around 6GHz. When applied to video latency, this translates to speeds up to 60 to 120 times faster.

Before 2G, 3G, and 4G, radio frequencies were benign. We never worried whether or not our drive-time radio shows would fry our brains. Sadly, once the concept of wireless “G” technology was initiated, we began exposing the global public to frequencies akin to microwaves at 1 billion cycles per second.

Humans, animals and the environment have all been at risk for years. While 4G was bad enough, 5G takes the game to a whole new level of insanity.

#5G (or 5th Generation) refers to the latest advancement in wireless systems. 5G promises to bring larger channels, higher speeds, larger packets of data, exponential responsiveness, and the ability to connect a host of devices from a single location. At the start, 5G networks won’t all work the same. Some will be slow, and some of these networks will be super-fast, but with limited coverage. Eventually, they will form a global grid, unlike anything the Earth has seen.
While it would be fair to assume that 5G technology has been tested for risks, this is simply not the case. There is no compelling data on health risks. When 5G launches, it will be the first actual test on human beings ever performed. This is unprecedented for such a wide-scale, public tech launch.
While 4G’s wavelengths travel along the surface of the skin, 5G’s millimeter waves are more insidious. When 5G wavelengths are emitted, our skin will automatically absorb them, which will naturally cause the skin to rise in temperature.

Already live in three countries, 5G is the first global electromagnetic radiation test on human beings in the history of Planet Earth. While most wireless industry executives kibosh the long list of legitimate 5G health concerns, most scientists believe that the public is in danger and that further tests are needed.

Does 5G Cause Cancer?

Cell tower radiation health effects are real.

Because there will be thousands of these towers and stations in every city, it will be almost impossible to avoid them. Given how addicted we are to our devices, the general public will tend toward risking life and limb to support our screen-related addictions.

That said, there are some things we can do to protect ourselves from radiation.

The more we focus on our health and diet, the more our immune systems can defend against the challenges related to 5G radiation.

Spirulina, Wheat Grass, Vitamin C, and similar supplements are consumable forms of sunlight, which will always improve our health and raise our vibrations. Yoga, meditation, chanting, mantras and other forms of prayer can also be beneficial in protecting our life-energies.
While fear can weaken our electromagnetic fields, love, intimacy and social vulnerability can strengthen them. The most important thing we can do is focus on improving our health, states of mind and exposure to nature. We always have control of our future, even if the general public is headed in another direction.

Here are a few ideas to give you a fighting chance:
Do not live near a cell tower or mini station.
Purchase an EMF shield, and continue to measure the levels of radiation within 100 feet of your home.
Eat healthily and take immune-boosting supplements.
Spend lots of time in the forest.
Refrain from using your cell phone for long periods, including never keeping your cell phone in your bedroom.
When traveling with your cell phone, store it in an EMF protective bag.

Coronavirus Ireland: More than 700,000 people now claiming unemployment benefits

A total of 714,000 people are now claiming unemployment benefits following a surge in claims for emergency support due to the coronavirus pandemic.
There are now 507,000 people receiving the new Covid-19 pandemic unemployment payment worth €350 a week following a government-ordered business shutdown.
This is on top of 207,000 people who are on standard jobseekers benefits.
In addition, 39,000 employers who have registered for a wage subsidy scheme to avoid laying off staff are receiving state support.
Under the terms of the scheme, the government is paying 70pc of wages for employers whose income has fallen by 25pc.

A further 23,800 applications for an enhanced lllness Benefit payment for those in self-isolation or diagnosed with the virus have been made.
The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection said in a statement that the level of payments “reflects the unprecedented demand” for its income supports.
An analysis of the 507,000 people receiving the emergency welfare payment shows that most – 284,000 – are men, while 223,000 are women.

The highest number of payments being made are to people in Dublin, at 147,100, followed by 52,500 to people in Cork, 27,300 in Galway, and 22,300 in Kildare.
The lowest number of payments – 3,500 – are being made in Leitrim.
The department said it has processed 583,000 applications for the pandemic unemployment payment and standard jobseekers payments since the emergency payment was launched on March 16.
However, it said 19,000 people have asked to close their payment.
The department said it has issued payments to 90pc of people who made claims but 46,000 were withheld for various reasons.
It said among the reasons payments were not made included the fact that people were already receiving jobseekers payments or were still employed.
The department said some had not been employed before claiming the payment or a wages subsidy was being paid in their name. Others were not resident in Ireland or had submitted incorrect details.
“The department is continuing to resolve any issues, such as invalid IBANS or PPSNs, with legitimate applications and is contacting the people concerned directly over the next few days,” it said.
“We wish to remind people to take care when submitting applications, to ensure that critical information such as dates of birth, PPSN and IBANs are entered correctly.
“An IBAN has 22 characters and people should take care that it is entered correctly. One common mistake people are making for those with Bank of Ireland accounts.”
It said some customers when filling out the IBAN are using BO1 as opposed to BOI, causing their application to be rejected.
Meanwhile, a Revenue spokesperson said it is processing refunds worth €14m as part of the wage subsidy scheme today, and the total value of payments made is €87m.

Donald Trump declared live on television on Wednesday night that he did not believe the World Health Organization’s assessment of the global death rate from coronavirus of 3.4%.
“I think the 3.4% is really a false number,” he told Sean Hannity, one of his favorite conservative Fox News hosts, in a phone interview broadcast live.
“Now, this is just my hunch,” Trump began, before continuing that “based on a lot of conversations with a lot of people that do this, because a lot of people will have this, and it’s very mild – they’ll get better very rapidly, they don’t even see a doctor, they don’t even call a doctor.”
He went on: “You never hear about those people, so you can’t put them down in the category of the overall population, in terms of this corona flu, and/or virus. So you just can’t do that.

He then plucked his own surmising of a likely death rate out of the air.
“You know, all of a sudden it seems like 3 or 4%, which is a very high number, as opposed to a fraction of 1%,” he said, perhaps referring to the typical death rate for influenza, which is well below 1%.
Trump said: “But again, they don’t know about the easy cases because the easy cases don’t go to the hospital. They don’t report to doctors or the hospital in many cases. So I think that that number is very high. I think the number, personally, I would say the number is way under 1%.”

Sources at the WHO pointed out to the Guardian that the 3.4% figure represented no more than a snapshot of the total number of reported deaths over the number of reported cases on the given day. “It’s not a mortality rate. But it is the math. The calculation on the given day.”

“Globally, about 3.4% of reported Covid-19 cases [the technical term for the novel coronavirus strain responsible for the outbreak] have died,” WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The previous death rate had been given as an estimated 2% after the initial explosion of cases begin in China. The new virus outbreak has been compared to the Spanish flu epidemic of 1918 – 1919 when mortality was between 2 and 3% of those infected.
The death rate of those contracting seasonal influenza is typically an estimated 0.1%.
As the number of coronavirus cases increases in the United States, conservative media outlets have condemned Democrats and media such as the New York Times and CNN for being critical of Donald Trump and his response.
Some of Trump’s allies in the rightwing media have defended the president and his response, and boosted the administration’s narrative that Democrats are using the coronavirus to further their own political agenda by exaggerating its severity.
Peter Hegseth, a co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, attacked Democrats’ criticism, saying: “They’re rooting for the coronavirus to spread. They’re rooting for it to grow. They’re rooting for the problem to get worse.”

Fellow Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt said of stock markets falling: “They [Democrats] are probably jumping for joy.”
Trump also appeared to reject his own administration’s advice for people feeling unwell to stay at home. He said: “If we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better, just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work, some of them go to work, but they get better, and then when you do have a death, like you’ve had in the state of Washington, like you had one in California, I believe you had one in New York.”
There have been no deaths from coronavirus in New York.
On Thursday morning, New York city mayor Bill De Blasio announced there were two more confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the number of sufferers in the state to 13.

Watch out! The killer virus is coming!
Well … maybe not. Behind any pandemic, there are always a long set of assumptions that underpin the medical reports and subsequent political and legal decisions. These assumptions are barely recognizable since they are routinely reported as facts. However, to truly justify everything that’s happening all over the world right now – social distancing, surveillance, censorship, lockdowns, quarantine, medical martial law, economic crashes, new digital currencies, governmental emergency powers – with mandatory vaccinations and human microchipping slated to come – those in charge at the Department of Propaganda have to convince you that those assumptions are facts. So, we’re going to take a journey down the rabbit hole to ask some fundamental questions not only about the coronavirus but also the mysterious entity of the virus itself. What is a virus? Can a virus cross from animal to human? Can it cross from human to human? Did you know the CDC admitted that their beloved PCR test is essentially useless, as it doesn’t tell you whether a virus is causing disease? Is it 100% proven that viruses cause disease in humans anyway? How do the competing theories of germ theory and host theory/terrain theory play into this? So, buckle up, open your mind and get prepared for a ride.

What Is a Virus? 

Mainstream Western Medicine (allopathy) developed due to the influence of the Rockefellers who created it to help sell their petroleum drugs which became the basis for today’s Big Pharma medicines. The Rockefellers and other NWO (New World Order) central banking bloodline families overtook the schools and curricula for Medicine, and shut down competition like homeopathy, via the Flexner Report. They made sure that allopathy would be purely focused on pharmaceuticals and blocked proper nutritional knowledge from doctors. This is the same mainstream medical system that sets the definitions for things like viruses, so let’s begin with a healthy dose of skepticism. This is also the same Rockefeller family that funded the UN (and donated land for its HQ in New York), whose Rockefeller Foundation has co-opted education and whose Rockefeller Foundation released a 2010 paper analyzing how governments could/should react to a pandemic scenario..

​According to this mainstream scientific mindset, viruses are entities composed of DNA or RNA fragments (genetic material) and encased in a protein cover and/or lipid (fat) envelope. They are not technically alive, requiring a cell host to replicate. They are tiny – far tinier than a bacterium – and unlike a bacterium they are not a cell, so they don’t have a respiratory, circulatory or nervous system. The virus is said to be right on the border of the living and the non-living.


However, there is an important alternative view of the virus. The late primal diet/raw meat advocate Aajonus Vonderplanitz (who died in 2013) gave this fascinating interview during the swine flu hoax of 2009, when everyone was freaking out (not as much as with the coronavirus, but in a similar vein to the hyped ebola and zika outbreaks). He claimed the following:

– viruses are created by the body to clean itself when friendly bacteria can no longer break down all the waste;
– all viruses are good viruses, being necessary cellular responses;
– viruses are like a solvent or soap, made by cells to help dissolve and eliminate toxins (a solvent is something that will make the solute [the thing to be dissolved] turn into a solution [liquid]);
– viruses are specific to the cell that created them;
– viruses cannot cross species;
– viruses don’t exist outside of bodies; and
– that only way that a virus can cross species is if it’s made in a factory and injected, i.e. extracted, kept in a lab, genetically altered and modified, weaponized, then made into vaccines and bioweapons.

Dormant viruses and latent viruses can exist in our bodies all the time without causing disease. The mere presence of a virus in an organism doesn’t tell you anything about the health of that organism. It is quite possible that due to all the toxicity in our world (junk food, GMO crops, chlorinated and fluoridated water, poisoned skies), our body has to make a solvent to help us get rid of the toxins.
Interestingly, the main points in the interview with Aajonus are also explained in this recent video by Australian Tom Barnett.

​What if the body is producing viruses in response to toxicity?

What if their apparent spreading and replication is due to the body making many of them to clean up a mess

​French scientist Antoine Bechamp (more on him below) did experiments that led him to discover tiny particles which he called microzymas and which others have called protids, somatids or exosomes. These tiny particles are pleomorphic (taking on many shapes) and may well go through a life cycle where they begin as ‘buds’ (which is what the word ‘germ’ means etymologically) or offshoots, and later develop into viruses or bacteria. The fact that microbes can be pleomorphic is a very important concept to understand. This idea is also relevant when it comes to understanding what cancer is and how to heal it naturally. In an earlier article Inner Terrain vs. Outer Terrain: Which Do You Emphasize for Good Health?, I explained:

“Bechamp theorized that germs were actually the chemical byproducts, dead tissue and degenerative aspects of a body’s unbalanced state. He stated living entities called microzymas (tiny enzymes) created bacteria in response to host and environmental factors.

“Claiming discovery that the “molecular granulations” in biological fluids were actually the elementary units of life, Béchamp named them microzymas—that is, “tiny enzymes”—and credited them with producing enzymes and were the builders of cells while “evolving” amid favorable conditions into bacteria. Denying that bacteria could invade a healthy animal and cause disease, Béchamp claimed instead that unfavorable host and environmental conditions destabilize the host’s native microzymas, whereupon they decompose host tissue by producing pathogenic bacteria.””

James Hildreth MD from Johns Hopkins University declared:

“The virus is fully an exosome in every sense of the word.”

Piezoelectrical Repair Crews
This video which highlights aspects of the fake coronavirus pandemic also talks of viruses as entities created by the body that do not do any harm and are designed to carry waste. The video creator refers to viruses as a “piezoelectrical repair crew”, with a polysaccharide coating on their heads, who can travel to a damaged cell and facilitate glycolysis (the conversion of sugar into energy). In other words, they go to a cell needing a repair and give it energy (sugar) and electricity (a kind of jump start). According to this viewpoint, blaming a virus for damage is like blaming an innocent helper at the scene of the crime; just because someone saw a crime and came to help does not mean they caused the crime. The situation is similar to the demonization of cholesterol which I have discussed elsewhere; it turns out that cholesterol is an essential nutrient and at the scene of bodily damage to repair it, not because it caused it. By the way, around 8 years ago Berkeley scientists turned harmless viruses into piezoelectric generators.

The Flawed PCR Test; You Might Have the Virus – But So What? That Doesn’t Mean You’re Sick

Even if you strongly believe in germ theory (more on this below), there are some serious problems with the generally accepted method of testing for a virus. It’s called the PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test. The PCR test amplifies a specific region of a DNA strand (the DNA target). It is qualitative not quantitative; in other words, it can tell you if a virus is present or not, but it can’t tell you in what quantities, and it can’t make any accurate assessment about whether the presence of that virus or not is enough to cause disease. As I pointed out in my article 6 Solid, Scientific Reasons to Assuage Your Coronavirus Panic, the CDC (US Center for Disease Control) itself admits that a positive coronavirus COVID-19 test (using the PCR method) doesn’t mean the virus is causing the disease/symptoms you may have! These are the actual words of the CDC:

“Positive [test] results are indicative of active infection with 2019-nCoV but do not rule out bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses. The agent detected may not be the definite cause of disease.”

Is it 100% Proven That Viruses Cause Disease in Humans?
Amazingly, no – it is not. Germ theory is just that: a theory. For those wanting a more technical explanation of this alternative understanding of viruses, check out Dr. Thomas Cowan, Dr. Andrew Kaufman and especially Dr. Stefan Lanka. Kaufman has given some recent interviews with Crrow777 and Richie from Boston where he elaborates upon the idea that viruses have never been proven to cause disease. Both Cowan and Kaufman discuss the tests that were done after the 1918 Spanish Flu (an outbreak which it turns out was caused by EMFs/electrification and/or vaccines) where they had sick people breathe into healthy people’s mouths. The healthy people didn’t get sick. Likewise, they had sick horses sneeze and cough mucus, fluids, droplets, etc. into a bag, put food in that bag, then gave that food to healthy horses. They were unable to make the healthy horses sick.

Dr. Stefan Lanka is the king in this area. He is a German biologist and virologist who came to understand we have been lied to on a grand scale regarding the nature of the virus. He offered a reward of €100,000 for anyone who could scientifically prove that measles was a virus. That case that went all the way to the German Supreme Court where he won. Paul Fassa reports:

“At first it appeared he had lost. But Dr. Lanka took his loss to a higher court with more experts and the backing of two independent laboratories. He wound up not having to pay. It turned out that the “proof” provided was a composite of several different electron microscope images. And the composite involved different components of damaged cells. The composite could not be duplicated. The German Federal Supreme Court confirmed that there was not enough evidence to prove the existence of the measles virus.”

Dave Mihalovic reports in the article Biologist Proves Measles Isn’t A Virus, Wins Supreme Court Case Against Doctor:

“In a recent ruling, judges at the German Federal Supreme Court (BGH) confirmed that the measles virus does not exist. Furthermore, there is not a single scientific study in the world which could prove the existence of the virus in any scientific literature. This raises the question of what was actually injected into millions over the past few decades. Not a single scientist, immunologist, infectious disease specialist or medical doctor has ever been able to establish a scientific foundation, not only for the vaccination of measles but any vaccination for infants, pregnant women, the elderly and even many adult subgroups.”

Lanka has spoken out against similar viral epidemics or pandemics, such as the H5N1 bird flu scare (which was being hyped in 2005). Finally, there are even other prominent virologists like professor Peter Duesberg who have stated with solid evidence that HIV does not cause AIDS. Here are some more quotes from Lanka (who speaks German, so translated into English):

“What viruses are there at all, then, and what are they doing?

Structures which you can characterize as viruses there are in many species of bacteria and in simple life forms, similar to the bacteria. They are elements of together-living of different cells in a common cell type which have remained independent. This is called a symbiosis, an endosymbiosis, which has arisen in the course of the process of different cell types’ and structures’ combining, an endosymbiosis which has brought forth the present cell type, that type of cells of which humans, animals and plants consist … Very important: Viruses are component parts of very simple organisms, for instance of the confervacea type of algae, a particular species of a one-celled chlorella alga and of very many bacteria. As existing there, these viral component parts are called phages. In complex organisms however, in particular in humans, or in animals or plants, such structures which you might call viruses have never been seen.

In contrast to the bacteria in our cells, the mitochondria, or the bacteria in every plant, the chloroplasts, which cannot leave the common cell, since they are dependent on the metabolism of the common cell, viruses can leave the cell, since they are not carrying out any survival-vital tasks within the cell.

Viruses, thus, are component parts of the cell which have turned their entire metabolism over to the common cell and therefore can leave the cell. Outside the common cell, they are helping other cells, in that they are transferring construction and energy substances. Any other function of theirs has never been observed.

Those actual viruses which have been scientifically demonstrated to exist are performing, in the very complex processes of interactions of different cells, a helping, a supporting and in no case a destructive function.

Also in the case of diseases, actually neither in the diseased organism nor in a bodily fluid has any structure which you could characterize as a virus ever been seen or isolated. The proposition that there is any sick-making virus whatsoever is a transparent swindle, a fatal lie with dramatic consequences.”

Lanka also drops this bombshell:
“Why then are disease-causing viruses still being maintained to exist?

The school medicine protagonists/practitioners need the paralysing, stupid-making and destructive fear of disease causing phantom viruses as a central basis for their existence:

Firstly, in order to harm many people with vaccinations, in order to build up for themselves a clientele of chronically ill and ailing objects who will put up with anything being done to them.

Secondly, in order not to have to admit that they are failing totally in their treatment of chronical illnesses and have killed and are killing more people than all wars so far have made possible. Every school medicine practitioner is conscious of this, but only very few dare to speak about it. Therefore it’s no wonder either that among professional groups, it is that of the school medicine practitioners that has the highest suicide rate, far surpassing other professional groups.

Thirdly, the school medicine practitioners need the paralysing and stupid-making fear of diabolical viruses, in order to conceal their historical origin as an oppression and killing instrument of the Vatican’s when it was struggling to rise in the world, having developed out of the usurping West Roman army.”

To understand all this, we have to revisit germ theory and terrain theory.
Germ Theory vs. Terrain Theory
In the aforementioned article Inner Terrain vs. Outer Terrain: Which Do You Emphasize for Good Health?, there have been 2 competing theories which have influenced thought in many fields (medicine, biology and many more): germ theory and terrain theory/host theory. This started in the 1800s in France when Louis Pasteur championed the germ theory (the world is full of pathogenic germs, microbes, bacteria, etc. which can infect you if you are unlucky enough) and Antoine Bechamp and Claude Bernard championed the terrain theory (microbes can change from one type to another according to the blood or tissue where they reside). The quote attributed to 1 or more of these 3 men is “the germ is nothing, the inner terrain is everything.”

Pasteur (the same man after which pasteurization is named) won out and germ theory became the more dominant philosophy of the two. This has had the unfortunate effect of making people more scared of their environment and more susceptible to propaganda by Big Pharma (we’re here to protect you; just take your drugs and vaccines and everything will be OK). It has also led people to take less responsibility for their inner terrain, via poor dietary and lifestyle choices, meaning a weakened host and lowered immune system – thus becoming more susceptible to disease. But what if we had it wrong? What if it is far more important to emphasize your own strength, health and terrain than to worry about possible germs floating around everywhere that could kill you? What if this whole coronavirus crisis is making everyone OCD, scared of every surface, scared of basic and natural human contact, forgetful of their internal strength and forgetful of the power of their gut microbiome and immune system?

Can a Virus Cross from Animal to Human, or Human to Human?
According to the people quoted above, the answer is no.

A virus is made specifically by your body for the purpose of healing via excretion and clean-up of toxins.

According to this new way of understanding, a virus is made specifically for a cell, group of cells or organ, so viruses don’t even cross organs, let alone from one human body to another.

Where is a Real Picture of the Virus Causing COVID-19?
In a world where everything – literally everything – is photographed and video-recorded, why are there no actual pictures of the virus, the actual coronavirus supposedly causing all this mayhem? It shouldn’t be that hard to get an electron microscope and take a picture. Why are we only given CGIs (computer generated images)?

The Importance of Iodine and Oxygen Amidst the Coronavirus Crisis
On another note, given all the panic and fear surrounding COVID-19, it is important to revisit some health fundamentals right now – specifically iodine and oxygen.

Iodine is a very important mineral, the only halogen that the body needs. However, if you don’t have enough, the body grabs chemically similar elements (the other halogens: fluorine, chlorine and bromine), all of which are toxic. If you have too much of these, you will get sick. Have you noticed how some nations are spraying chloride bleach on everything in reaction to the supposed killer virus, thus exposing you to more chloride? Also, the 6 GHz frequency (used in many wireless phones, routers and other devices) affects your iodine absorption. One symptom of iodine deficiency is respiratory distress (also a symptom of COVID-19). Iodine deficiency is also implicated in cancer.

5G is undeniably connected to the coronavirus, but we still don’t exactly understand how. 5G was first rolled out in Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the outbreak.

. However, not everyone around 5G is getting sick. One possible cause is the new frequency band it will be using (60 GHz or WiGig which is the new name for 60GHz Wi-Fi). Just as the 6 GHz frequency affects iodine absorption, the 60 GHz frequency affects oxygen absorption. In fact, the 60 GHz frequency attenuates or weakens the oxygen molecule. This can lead to O2 molecules not binding so easily to hemoglobin – meaning you don’t take in as much oxygen. This leads to under-oxygenation or hypoxia, the forerunner to disease. Again, just as with iodine, a symptom of oxygen deficiency is respiratory distress (also a symptom of COVID-19).

Hmm … it’s almost as if this virus is providing the perfect excuse and acting as a scapegoat for the toxic chemicals and EMF which are damaging us long-term all the time …

If Viruses Can’t Cross Species, Bodies or Be ‘Caught’,

Then What Happens When One Person Appears to ‘Catch’ the Flu from Someone Else?
This is the key question.

If viruses really are completely different than what almost all of us have been taught to believe, how can we explain apparent viral contagions or viral infections?

Are they real?

Well, certainly many people have experienced getting sick right after being around other people who were sick.

The real issue is how?

One possible answer is that the terrain of the recipient was lowered at the point of infection, whether because they were worried or anxious they would get sick (fear lowers the immune system), had the thought they would get sick (and unconsciously gave that thought power) or developed some kind of emotional entrainment or frequency match with the sick person. It’s all about creating a frequency lock. In life, we all have strong and weak moments; in those weaker moments we become more susceptible to disease. The great genius Nikola Tesla said that

 “The day that science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.” He also said that “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”

Is catching disease not about “evil germs out to infect us” but rather about our mental and emotional state, our immune system, our microbiome and our susceptibility?

Conclusion: Use This Crisis as an Opportunity to Look at Viruses in a Different Way
It would be wise amidst all the fear over the coronavirus COVID-19 if were to all remember that germ theory is just that – a theory – and that we have the power to take charge of our own health. We can strengthen our immune system with healthy food choices, enough sunshine (vitamin D), sufficient exercise and adequate sleep. We can choose to reduce or eliminate exposure to toxins like fluoride, chlorine, aluminum, mercury and EMF wireless radiation. We can supplement with things that boost our immunity – like vitamin C, antioxidants, iodine and oxygen – and natural anti-viral medicine like olive leaf extract, medicinal mushrooms and oregano oil.

It is a maxim of life that knowledge decreases fear. What if the real conspiracy here is the exploitation of the mass ignorance regarding the true nature of the virus? What if there is no such thing as a killer virus? What if the real virus here is fear itself – fear of the virus, fear of the unknown and fear of death? It hardly bares stating that the NWO controllers are master manipulators who intimately understand how to exploit human psychology. Now is the time for people to dive in and question everything they thought they knew. It is an opportunity to gain new levels of comprehension, understanding and knowledge – so that we may remain free.

After all, we cannot be free if we continue to remain ignorant, else our ignorance will continue to be exploited.

MEDICAL cannabis users are to have a special courier sent to the Netherlands to fill their prescriptions after travel restrictions left them unable to leave Ireland to collect their supply.
The arrangement announced by the Department of Health came after patients pleaded for help to get their medication.
Under the strict conditions that attach to their licence, they or an authorised family member normally have to travel to a particular pharmacy in The Hague to collect the drugs in person.
While the emergency measure has been welcomed, one mother of a young man licenced to use medical cannabis said it had thrown up another problem as she now had to find funds to pay the pharmacy up front for three months’ supply.
Pamela Fowler’s son Ryan, 20, from Arklow, Co Wicklow, has Gardner Syndrome which is not one of the three conditions accepted by the State for reimbursement of his medication costs.
As a result, his family have to pay €975 a month, plus travel costs, to fill the prescription which his consultant says has unquestionably improved his condition and quality of life.
“I’ve had to set up a Go Fund Me page because we have to find almost €3,000 quickly to avail of this arrangement,” said Pamela, who spoke to Independent.ie last week about the problems the travel restrictions presented.
A date for the pick-up has not been finalised but a letter sent to all licence-holders, of which there are about 30 in the country, stresses that acceptance of the offer is needed immediately and the paperwork and payment must be sorted as quickly as possible.
“The purpose of this exercise is to try and ensure that each patient the benefit of a prescription under a current ministerial licence can obtain a three-month supply of product which will hopefully carry them through to the end of the Covid-19 crisis,” it says.

Pamela said Ryan’s life had been transformed since he received his licence last October but the requirement that medication be collected in the Netherlands caused ongoing difficulties.
“We’ve been asking for weeks that the diplomatic service or even the gardai get involved to bring the medication here because I couldn’t travel to get it,” she said.
She said while the current temporary solution was welcome, a long-term arrangement needed to be made to spare all the families repeated trips to The Hague.
She said she would also continue her campaign to have the cost of Ryan’s treatment reimbursed by the HSE.
“He hasn’t been in hospital since he started using medical cannabis. Before, he used to be in hospital repeatedly for pain management. The cost saving to the State in keeping him out of hospital alone would more than pay for his prescription.”
Health Minister Simon Harris said: "I am very glad we have been able to make arrangements to have an emergency supply of their products collected for them in Holland, where the products are supplied, and to have the products delivered to the patients in Ireland.
“Patients and their clinicians are now being contacted by the Department in order that these arrangements may be put in place."

EU 5G Appeal – Scientists warn of potential serious health effects of 5G

In an appeal to the European Union, more than 180 scientists and doctors from 36 countries warn about the danger of 5G, which will lead to a massive increase in involuntary exposure to electromagnetic radiation. The scientists urge the EU to follow Resolution 1815 of the Council of Europe, asking for an independent task force to reassess the health effects.
“We, the undersigned scientists, recommend a moratorium on the roll-out of the fifth generation, 5G, for telecommunication until potential hazards for human health and the environment have been fully investigated by scientists independent from industry. 5G will substantially increase exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) on top of the 2G, 3G, 4G, WiFi etc. for telecommunications already in place. RF-EMF has been proven to be harmful for humans and the environment.”

Initiatiators
One of the initiators is Dr. L. Hardell, Professor of Oncology at Örebro University in Sweden. He states: “The telecom industry is trying to roll out technology that may have very real, unintended harmful consequences. Scientific studies, both recently and over many years, have identified harmful effects on health when testing wireless products under realistic conditions. We are very concerned that the increase in radiation exposure by 5G leads to damage that cannot be reversed”.
Hardell: “The fifth generation (5G) of radio frequency radiation is now being developed. This is done without dosimetric determination or study of the possible health effects. The media praise in particular all the possibilities that this technology promises to offer, such as the self-propelled car and Internet of Things (IoT). The consequences for the health of humans, plants and animals are not discussed at all. Politicians, governments and the media are responsible for unbalanced information. Ordinary people are not informed of conflicting opinions about this technological development. Health effects from radio frequency radiation are a non issue in the media, at least in Sweden, but also in most other countries”.

It is a defining moment for the Kingdom to rectify some of the things that are going wrong...
So that is one thing you will see around the world ....
there will be a Collaboration of Kingdom People who will come together ...
combine resources .. Collaborate ...to effect change and create an alternative system ....
I have been working on this for five years...with people around the world that are doing the same ...
Secondly you'll see a change of Church...
one of the reasons why .. and it is the last point i''l make is this...
that there has been a ubiquitous shut down of worship and prayer and congregating of religion ..
of religious organisations because they are making way spiritually ...for the presentation of the Anti-Christ
When we pray corporately ... we create a frequency .... we create vibrations .. we create a move ..
the Fire of God... we call it the Power of God... we call it the Spirit of God...
but effectively what it is ..we as  Spirit Field ... 
Clean living beings are generators of Spiritual Energy .. Spiritual Power... Spiritual Might..
Let me use terms that will not scare you ... power ..  anointing .. these are powerful frequencies that iminate from us...
when we worship and pray .... it literally heals our body...
so when we are in the presence of God... this is why we have healing as a bi-product of that .. because what we are exposed to.. we  physically heals ourselves.. this why he said
I am the  Lord thy God that Healith ,,,, his presence alone  heals..
people get healed in worship services....
Prophesies are other communication frequencies and other communication flows greater when we are corporately worshiping ...
when we are praying corporately...
and so the ruling elite have deliberately shut all that down and tried to shut down our spiritual network ....
for what of a better term so they can pay the way for the Anti Christ .. to come to the the fore..
otherwise we would have been restricted and held by  the Universal Concept of Prayers and Worship of God's People...
and so this is what is happening ... it is deliberate ... it is not the coronavirus that is  contagious.. or contangent .. so we can not congregate ... because they systematically they have dismantled ... for the first time in human history the corporate gathering of religious people to pray and worship ... because it changes the spiritual atmosphere so they can have more power ..
I would not doubt that there are sacrifices and different things going on behind the scenes as well to impact their power..
and trust me.. they are moving at lightening speed...
within a matter of weeks we are going to be shocked by the revelations ... and implementation of the things that they will be doing....
the Vaccines will be a matter of months away .... if not days.... 
the new currency will be a matter of days away or at the max ..... months away ....
the whole new economic system .. which I have created one... that I am going to implement regardless  as a strategy to counter what is happening .. I have been prophesying this for 1 5 years ... that the Kingdom of God needs it's own economic system ... while you all have been having happy clappy church .. some of us have been strategising on the Blue print of God to be able to advance his Kingdom to save as much souls as possible that are still alive and preserve a prosperity ...
Anyway .. because of time..

The best thing that we can do right now it to raise our frequency...
Live clean ... live righteously ... remove and detox our bodies from anything that would effect the flow of God's anointing on our lives...
The only counter we have is prayer and worship...
prayer and worship... creates it's own force field of energy ... and  force field of frequency.. Heavens Frequency will protect you to some degree ... whilst God is going to work on the strategy that he is going to implement... I pray this is helps somebody.... share with somebody,,, forward this to somebody .. as many people as possible .. so the world can understand that we can come together .. strategize as a Kingdom Remant because God said ... that he doesn't get involved with the affairs of man.. because he gave dominion to man is Genesis Chapter One .... that is why so many heinous and terrible things happen in our world .. because God is not running the world .... God works and influences the good men and good women .. Evil prevails when Good Men say nothing ... 
So what God is attempting to do is influence people who live right and live clean ... pure hands .. clean heart .... so vanity .. no searing to secrecy with lies ... not manipulating people to gain .. true people of God that God can speak and work through ... so God can have an impact on the Earth ...  but what God has said from my time in prayers that this now has forced his hand and that God is going to move as God .... God has to intervene as God ... and I think that as we ubiquitously raise up our prayers and our fasting .... which helps our electromagnetic flow ..
Intermittent fasting strengthens our immune system ..strengthens our electromagnetic flow ,, our electric  electromagnetic system likes lime which thought was spiritual but is actually scientific ... they improve our body and strengthens us ... so Olive Oil and different things have components that have electro-light elements in it that strengthen our physical body ... fasting does that ... it helps our immune system immensely ... so we can ... fight against the corona .. fight against these radiations of the frequency ...  but more importantly create a heavenly sound ... that will combat what the enemies have planned up to now ...  God Bless You .. We Love You ... This is a whole new era that God has been talking about .. but thank God that his Kingdom he will give to none other .. this will be hued out of the mountain without hands ... that will drive away all the other other Dispensational  Kingdoms like chaff in the wind... so this is our time to embrace what God is doing .. and it is a time when we need to be furthered in Spirit ... serving the Lord .. It Is Now ... I encourage you .. I Indore you . I really plead with you .. let's be unified ... let's be righteous .... let's spend time in prayer ... and last;y we need to use this time lastly ... to re-set-- we need to use this time to reset our priorities .. to reset our routine ... to reset our reinvestment within ourselves... ready ourselves as to what is coming ... if we have to in line with God's purpose .... we have to reach out to other people .. we need to share this information that the unbelievers will now believe what we have been saying about revelation 13 for hundreds of years .... 200 years precisely which is when the Bible was translated ... we need to re-establish ourselves .. like we have never before ...we must not waist time on entertainment .. spend tie reading  ... studying .... pertinent information .. the word of God ..

THE National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) will meet today to discuss childcare provisions for healthcare workers.
Creches and schools were closed last month, leaving many healthcare workers with no childcare.

On Monday, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said the Government is working on childcare for healthcare workers during the emergency, but it needs to be cleared by the NPHET.
"There are essential workers in the economy and in the health service who are struggling and want to get to work but can't because childcare is not available to them.
"While we are ready to push the button in terms of providing childcare for essential workers, we need clearance from the public health team, and that it in itself does not become a public health risk or allow the virus to be spread."
The coronavirus death toll in Ireland is 174, with 16 further deaths reported on Monday.
There were 370 new confirmed cases, taking the overall total to 5,364.
Government ministers will also be briefed on the latest developments on Covid-19 at a Cabinet meeting, and whether restrictions can be lifted.

Chief medical officer Tony Holohan said a formal recommendation will not be made until Friday.

THREE MORE DIE IN NORTHERN IRELAND AND 97 NEW CASES
Three more people have lost their lives to Covid-19 in Northern Ireland.
97 new cases of the coronavirus were also announced this afternoon.
There are now 73 Covid related deaths and 1,255 cases.

IRISH PUBLIC URGED TO STAY AWAY FROM HOLIDAY HOMES
The Irish public has been urged to stay away from their holiday homes this bank holiday weekend in a bid to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Michael Vaughan, a hotelier in Lahinch, Co Clare, said that their town is closed and asked for help to keep it safe from coronavirus.
He said that at a time where the community usually welcomes tourists for the Bank Holiday, they are asking people to stay away.
The Taoiseach also asked people to stay at home as the spread of the virus is slowing but travelling could give it a boost.
Leo Varadkar tweeted: “Please do not visit a holiday home or caravan park this Easter weekend.
“The spread of the virus is slowing but people travelling could give it a boost – spreading it and seeding it in areas unaffected so far.
“Stay at home and flattenthecurve.”

CORK MAN PROJECTING CLASSIC MOVIES FOR NEIGHBOURS
HOUSEHOLDERS staying at home because of Covid 19 have found a unique way to watch movies outdoors without breaking the restrictions.
Scott Duggan has been entertaining residents in Frankfield Villas on Windmill Road in Cork City with cinema nights by projecting classical movies onto the gable end of one of the houses there.
And the locals have been able to observe social distancing while taking a break from the mundane existence of isolation.
Scott held the first cinema night last Friday and it proved so successful that more shows are planned to brighten up Easter especially now with the weather forecast of good weather over the holiday period.

RYAN TUBRIDY 'VERY FORTUNATE' WITH COVID-19 EXPERIENCE
RTE broadcaster Ryan Tubridy has said he was very fortunate with his experience of having Covid-19.
The Late Late Show host returned to work on Tuesday after being diagnosed last Monday.
Tubridy, 46, who also has his own morning show on RTE Radio One, had used recent Late Late Shows as a vehicle to convey public health information about the epidemic.
Speaking on the return to his show on Tuesday, he said: “I should fill you in on that good fortune just briefly, and it's not to gloat or anything like that.
“It wasn't a particularly lovely thing to experience but I was very fortunate in the sense that I had this persistent cough.”
He said he did not experience fever or have any other symptoms and took the time off to rest and reflect.
“I'm very grateful and quite humbled by what happened, actually.
“When you're told that your test has come back positive you think about a lot of things and you reflect.”
“I've thought about a lot of things, I thought about life, you reflect and you have time and you think about people who you love and loved and you think about how grateful you are for the great things that happen in life.”
“The numbers of people that have died in the last couple of weeks are quite shocking and going through that is not easy at all, and not being able to go to a funeral is not easy at all, and losing your job, and being one of maybe 700,000 people who didn't want to be taking a payment from the government but have to is not an easy thing to do.”

WAGE SUBSIDY SCHEME 'NOT TAX FREE PAYMENT'
PEOPLE signed up to government income supports due to Covid-19 have been warned “this is not a tax-free payment” by a financial expert.
Over 700,000 are now receiving unemployment payments and 40,000 employers are signed up to the Wage Subsidy Scheme.
Financial planner Eoin McGee has urged workers to put aside 30 per cent of this welfare income for the taxman.
Mr McGee warned listeners of RTE's Sean O'Rourke: “If you've got this payment right now, the tax won't have been deducted out of it yet, but somebody is going to come knocking on your door at some stage.
“What you need to realise is that this a taxable payment. You do have to pay tax on it, but nobody is going to collect the tax off you right now.
“Probably towards later this year or early next year, they're going to look at how your year went as a whole and decide whether you owe the taxman money or not.
“Your employer would usually take the tax off it when they're paying your wages, this time they're not.
“That is something I don't think people are aware of.”

ALDI LIFTS NUMBER OF PURCHASE RESTRICTIONS
ALDI have lifted the majority of purchase restrictions in all stores across the country.
The supermarket giant announced that the restrictions introduced at the beginning of Ireland’s coronavirus outbreak will no longer be in place – with the exception of a small number of products.
Handwash and soap will remain under restriction due to high demand for the products.
Items which will remain under restriction will be clearly marked on the price card.
The temporary restrictions had been in place since March 12 because people began to unnecessarily bulk buy items.

HARRIS: 'SUDDEN DEPARTURE' FROM LOCKDOWN 'HIGHLY UNLIKELY'
HEALTH Minister Simon Harris said any kind of "sudden departure" from current Covid-19 restrictions in Ireland is "highly unlikely".
The National Public Health Emergency Team are set to confirm next steps for the country as current lockdown guidance remains in place until April 12.
Harris the the NPHET will issue formal advice later in the week with an update to current restrictions issued to be in effect until Easter Sunday.
The emergency group meets today but it's expected a final decision on measures going forward is due on Friday.
Harris said it's not likely the restrictions will be lifted, “particularly when we know they're working”.
He said: “We'll get the formal advice later in the week but I believe in being truthful and honest with people in this regard.
“I think that any kind of sudden departure from the existing restrictions is highly unlikely, particularly when we know they're working.
“We are entering a very, very crucial week.
“The virus is very much here, it is still at an unsustainable level, while we are making progress, we are not yet where we need to be.”

HUSBAND OF NURSE SAYS HE SAT 'BY HER SIDE' UNTIL SHE DIED
THE husband of a Drogheda nurse says he would “sit by her side, holding her hand” before she died of the deadly coronavirus on Sunday.
Beena George worked at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital for 10 years before she passed away from the virus within its walls.
She had been undergoing cancer treatment when she was struck with pneumonia in March.
When admitted the nurse tested negative for coronavirus.
Speaking to Indian News Site Irish Malayali her husband George Paul said: “I still remember those days.
“I would sit by her side, holding her hand.
“Since she was staff at the hospital, she told her co-workers and got me a comfortable chair.
“She was finicky about her food, too.
“She did not like the food at the canteen, so I would prepare kanji (rice porridge) and other traditional food from home and bring it to the hospital.”

CHILD UNDER 5 IN ICU WITH COVID-19
A child under the age of five has been admitted to ICU with Covid-19.
The latest figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show that 60 children have contracted the coronavirus in Ireland.
Overall, 169 people have been admitted to intensive care units, with 66 of these people aged 65 and above.
The HPSC figures also reveal that 67 clusters of coronavirus have been confirmed in nursing homes, making up a quarter of all outbreaks.
There are now 44 clusters in the east, ten in the west, and three each in the midwest, northwest and south.
Overall, 260 clusters of Covid-19 were identified in Ireland as of April 4, a huge jump from the 24 clusters recorded a week before on March 28.

IRELAND IN 'FANTASTIC POSITION'
HOSPITALS in Ireland are not seeing the huge surge in Covid-19 cases they were expecting, an expert in infectious diseases has said.
Dr. Clíona Ní Cheallaigh, consultant in general medicine and infectious diseases at St James's Hospital in Dublin, said Irish hospitals are in a “fantastic” position, but social distancing measures must continue.
She told RTE Radio One: “I was on a call yesterday with all the infectious diseases consultants from across Ireland and one after the other, as each person reported from their hospitals they were saying they hadn't seen the surge they expected, that the measures are working.
“It's just a fantastic position to be in.
“I think we had been very scared that we would be completely overwhelmed and that hasn't happened yet.
“But the social distancing and all the measures have to continue, we don't have a vaccine, we don't have a treatment for the infection, all we have is keeping people apart from each other.”

COVENEY: WE'VE HELPED GET 4,600 HOME
TANAISTE Simon Coveney said his department has helped around 4,600 Irish citizens return home since the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis.
He said the Department of Foreign Affairs call centre has received more than 16,000 calls about people stranded abroad.
He told RTE's Sean O'Rourke: “I suppose you could break our support for Irish people into three different categories.
“The first is helping people to get home, which as I say over 4,600 people have been helped in some way or another by our team, to help them get on a plane because the aviation industry has been turned on its head.
“Airspace in certain parts of the world has been shut down, which has made it very difficult and quite complicated to get people hold from places like Australia and New Zealand.”

EASTER BUNNY ALLOWED TO WORK ON SUNDAY
MINISTER for Health Simon Harris has assured the children of Ireland that the Easter Bunny is an essential worker and will be allowed to work his busiest shift of the year this Sunday.
Although Taoiseach Leo Varadkar introduced strict coronavirus measures nearly two weeks ago the Health minister took to twitter this morning to confirm these would not apply to the Easter Bunny.
He tweeted: said: “Important news for children: Many of you contacted me & asked me if the Easter Bunny was allowed work this weekend.
“I have checked with our top doctors & the good news is he can.
“But he has been contacted to remind him about washing his hands regularly & keeping his distance.”

RESTRICTIONS DECISION BEFORE FRIDAY
IRELAND’S Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan says the public will find out before Friday if Covid-19 restrictions will remain in place past Easter Sunday.
Nearly two weeks ago, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced extreme measures to stop the spread of the virus.
He said: “What we will do over the course of the week, I will be as honest and open with you as I can be so it won't be that I will reveal everything in one go on Friday.
“As the week progresses and our impression of where we are is increasing either in one direction or another I will share that with you.
“Wherever we arrive at formally on Friday won't be a surprise to you.”

TANAISTE WISHES JOHNSON SPEEDY RECOVERY
Tanaiste Simon Coveney has sent his well-wishes to Boris Johnson after the British Prime Minister was admitted to intensive care tonight.
In a tweet the Foreign Affairs Minister wrote: “Everyone in Ireland is tonight wishing @BorisJohnson well.

JOHNSON WAS 'STRUGGLING TO BREATHE'
Boris Johnson began struggling to breathe and needed oxygen before being transferred to intensive care, it is understood.
Doctors watching the British Prime Minister closely in hospital became alarmed at his deterioration.
Mr Johnson was admitted to ICU at around 7pm this evening.
He is not yet on a ventilator and is still conscious – but could be placed on one if needed.
Doctors are understood to be preparing a ventilation unit to be ready by his bedside should he worsen overnight

FULL DOWNING STREET STATEMENT ON JOHNSON'S CONDITION
“Since Sunday evening, the Prime Minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas’ Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus.
“Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.
“The PM has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him where necessary.
“The PM is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication.”

BORIS JOHNSON MOVED TO INTENSIVE CARE
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been admitted to intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms worsened today, Downing Street has confirmed.
The Conservative Party leader was transferred to ICU this evening having been hospitalised at St Thomas in London last night.
He is not yet on a ventilator, Downing Street said tonight, and is still conscious.
Mr Johnson's condition got worse over the course of the afternoon and doctors made the decision to move him into intensive care.

Most children across Northern Ireland have either spent their final days in school already or are doing so today.
The decision to close schools, comes as the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 has risen to 77, with the Department announcing yesterday that an elderly patient had died after testing positive. 
The Health Minister warned on Thursday that a "surge" in the Covid-19 pandemic will be of "biblical proportions".
Robin Swann was speaking as Arlene Foster and Michelle O’Neill addressed the country on latest developments in the fight against Coronavirus.
He said that a worst case scenario could be that as many as 9,000 people die from Covid-19, based on 80% of the population getting it and a 1% mortality rate.
However, he stressed that this figure can be greatly reduced if people follow the public health guidelines that have been issued regarding social distancing and hand washing.
